The grand opening ceremony of World Expo 2010 has come to a close. Activities on the agenda of each national pavilion during the expo vary a lot but all of them have their own peculiarities. Gaming Day, which catches the eyes of the most audiences who are interested in digital media activities, is also being paid special and great attention. In this regard, organizers of such events from many developed countries by far have shown their intent of cooperation with the only grand event held simultaneously with them, i.e. CGOC 2010, via communications with the organizing committee of CGOC 2010 with the help of Shanghai Multimedia Industrial Association (SMIA) as well as the organizer of ChinaJoy. It is expected that the two most influential institutions of China’s digital media industry can appear as either guests or partners on those gaming days.
Recently, the earliest confirmation of partnership was made by the Netherland Pavilion, who is going to initiate their gaming day themed Dutch Game Masters on May 25 to May 26. NLGD foundation, the organizer of Dutch Game Masters and Festival of Games, the organizer of Holland Game Festival, will respectively cooperate with SMIA and the organizer of ChinaJoy in different forms.
The brand-new cooperative model enables a larger group of professional audiences to arise a more engaged overseas institution group such as digital media enterprises and games enterprises, which will get CGOC 2010 more support from a multinational level and therefore to add weight to CGOC 2010 internationally. On the other hand, through cooperation with CGOC and relevant digital media institutions, the Netherland Pavilion will be able to get first-hand market information about the China games industry and to know more about China’s gaming enterprises of different styles and scales, which will win them more effective and valuable experience for their own digital media industry. All these will lay a substantial foundation for their march into the Chinese games market.
"Dutch Game Masters” will include sections such as conference, interactive show and business matching day, which are quite comparative with CGOC’s activities. This enables both domestic and overseas enterprises to have enough space to show and communicate with each other. All participants and guests will also be able to learn about how CGOC evolves and how to get fully involved in the event. By far, CGOC has gained the maximum support from global major game developers, operators and outsourcers as well as professionals of the industry. The organizing committee of CGOC has received outsourcing orders valued over $20 million from outsourcers worldwide.
