I have created thread in game development but now I see this is a more appropriate place... Please see the game website and comment it: http://www.familyfarmgame.com A press release with more information follows... Unveiling the title with an Easter-themed clip. Hammerware, s.r.o., an independent studio announces a new title and launch of it's web campaign. "We are trying to bring a fresh air into once enormously popular but now repetitive tycoon genre," says Martin Prochazka, Managing Director of Hammerware. "Family Farm is essentially farming tycoon boosted with time-management style of play and focus on character development similar to RPGs. We are going to gradually reveal details of our concept step by step within the product web campaign. Our game is not trivial as other titles with similar theme, but involves complex game mechanics. We have approached the right person - experienced designer Vladimir Chvatil to work with us." Mr. Vladimir Chvatil, is both video and board game designer. He worked on strategy titles Original War, UFO: Aftermath, UFO: Aftershock and inventive puzzle solving Fish Fillets as a founding member of Altar Interactive. From multiple board games he designed and published world-wide we can list: Through the Ages (IGA for best strategy game of 2007), Galaxy Trucker (Spiel des Jahres candidate, 2007), Space Alert (Sonderpreis, 2009) and Dungeon Lords. Development of the title is supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union. It is one of the first interactive works which benefited from this fund established to support european audiovisual production. Family Farm is going to be released in Semptember/October 2010 on Windows PC and Mac. Nintendo Wii version is planned. Yeah the English could do with a touch up, but aside from that it's somewhat informative. If this is the first press release for the game, I'd suggest putting a bit more information in relation to the storyline (if there is one - I mean how much of a storyline do tycoon games really have!?) and any lead characters... |

Thanks, I must definitely use my friend - translator to correct the language. There are going to be scenarios, no story-line with characters, but it's good point that I should mention it and provide more info. In any case the press release was distributed by gamespress but we noticed only a few visits from this site. This could be for many reasons of course, nevertheless we should work more on our materials for publication ;) ______________________ Hammerware developerFollow us: www.twitter.com/hammerware/ |
