Hi all, I'm a UK-based writer who wants to pursue freelance writing. I currently work fulltime in an unrelated field, so I mainly do unpaid freelance work for the passion of writing and discussing games. I currently contribute articles to www.controllerthrow.com & www.vgupdate.com but I'm always available to write the odd article for others. I specialise in opinion pieces and retrospectives. I also host the Controller Throw Presents...Player Two podcast, centred around video game music (http://playertwo.podbean.com) I am an avid retro gamer and collector, and I would class myself as a videogame historian of sorts. |

Hi folks, Just making myself known. I'm Neil, a gamer who's long in the tooth and short in the legs. I spend my time looking back wistfully at gaming days gone by, writing, mostly drivel, in my blog and spending lots of time searching Google for the definition of the many big words I don't fully understand but love to use. I currently contribute to thisisxbox.com, megabitsofgaming.com & on my personal space decadesinadigitalworld.wordpress.com. Thoroughly enjoying browsing the various sites and articles being promoted here. Cheers. |

Howdy, so first off I randomly found Gameleon last week and was impressed at its presentation and unique way of reporting on gaming news. Loving it so far. Anyways, I'm Carlos... by day I work as an online marketer. Specifically I work in search engine marketing for the Montreal branch of the PHD media network. My career spans over 13 years in advertising, starting as an assistant to planer to buyer to web planner to strategist and for the last year and over I've been a SEM strategist as well as a Social Media advisor. Why am I here? Because I love the video game industry, I've been a gamer for the past 20+ years and always wanted to get into the business. I've sort of let that dream fade over the years but I never stopped keeping up on the industry via the top news sites ad 2-3 podcasts per week. I recently decided to help organize and expand an online gaming community & podcast (@thedeadroom) and it has helped get me back into gaming more and I'm also trying to dip my toes into reporting on the video game industry. Its definitely a challenge especially when you have a day job! Working in the gaming industry is still something I hope do to one day. I think my marketing background can come in really handy. For now I'm content to just be part of it as a hobby and keep up the date on the latest happenings. The Gameleon community looks like the perfect place for someone like me to learn from others and keep up with the latest on the industry. |

Hi everybody, I'm Adam. I'm an aspiring games journalist and launched my own website www.awesomegames.co.uk last month. It's early days and it's difficult to keep up with the big boys especially when it comes to news but I firmly believe in quality over quantity. If anybody is looking for an upcoming platform to show off their work and in turn, help the site, then please feel free to contact me through here or at my email editor@awesomegames.co.uk. If you like the work I have submitted then I am open to freelance work, paid or unpaid. Game on peeps! |

Hi! Custard Trout here, I’m a dyslexic and autistic writer, I suffer from CRPS and started writing at the age of 13 (Thanks to a bloomin’ brilliant editing team!) I started writing originally because I wanted to prove to myself that dyslexia was not going to hold me back. I now write professionally for a US based website and we have now opened a UK side, which I am head of. I write about pretty much anything, but my speciality is gaming. I’ve also written a book, which is launching this month. So far it’s been described as “Gruesome, graphic, glorious. This book really admires and takes you through a passage of insanity.” My writing style is generally a bit horrific and humorous. Mixing death and innuendos, because that’s what people love, necrophilia. Think I’ve scared you all enough now. Here's a picture of me being ignored by a powerful force. |
