High Praises go to CGDC 09 from the Global Game Industry and China's Online Game Industry

The Second China Game Developers Conference ("CGDC"), held at the Shanghai International Convention Center from July 24 to 26, came to a successful close. The conference, which over 69 renowned figures from the global game industry gave 54 remarkable speeches, attracted a wide participation from industry professionals not only in China but also across Asia-Pacific. Attendees were so overwhelmed with enthusiasm that during the speeches, despite seeing the conference hall already full, many would rather stand in the doorway or passageway throughout the seminars in order not to miss any inspiring speeches.

Guests present this year were all very satisfied with the conference and showed an unanimous optimism toward the prospect of China‘s online game industry.

Cynthia Freese, Executive Director of LOGIN CONFERENCE, said, "I think China's online game industry is very appealing, that is why so many Americans come here to participate in this outstanding conference." As a partner to CGDC, LOGIN CONFERENCE will on one hand, promote the Shanghai conference to game developers in the US, and, on the other hand, help China‘s online games and their developers launch in America.

Dmitri Bourkovski, PR Director of the Game Department of Russia's @mail.ru, noted that, "This is an exciting conference and I think this is one of the best online game developers conferences in the world."

Steve Gray, Executive Producer of Tencent Games, commented that, "I believe in three or four years the online game market in China will become the biggest in the world. We are really glad that through CGDC we can meet together."

Favorable forecasts about China's game market were also made by guests at this year's conference:

John Goodale, Director of Asia-Pacific Business Development at Crytek: "We are very excited with China's online game industry. We have been following it for more than ten years: there are more and more developers and the whole industry has been growing very fast. We look forward to further cooperation with Chinese developers."

Andrew Flavell, Senior Director of Microsoft's Game Studio: "I think Chinese online games are very interesting and we are very interested in the Chinese market."
Antoine Carre, President & CEO of Bugtracker: "This industry is changing for the better and many foreign companies also want a place in online games. This means opportunity for every company."

All participants expressed their interest in CGDC programs in 2010, which is expected to generate even more opportunities for worldwide game developers.
