The Games Tribe announce launch of two specialist RPG websites
The Games Tribe announce launch of two Media company expansion spearheaded by jrpgtribe.com and raidingparty.net Bristol, 29/11/10 The Games Tribe, the specialist video games media business, today announces the launch of two websites devoted to the hugely popular RPG genre. The websites signal the beginning of a planned expansion, which will see the company covering specific game genres and platforms across numerous dedicated websites. Concentrating on the JRPG scene is www.jrpgtribe.com, which will be run by former Future Publishing staff member Kim Richards. Richards, who began her career in games as a tester for Square-Enix before moving to Future to work on the Official PlayStation 2 magazine and FirstPlay, is known throughout the UK games industry as a champion of the JRPG genre and she will bring unrivalled knowledge and passion to The Games Tribe. The immense appeal of titles such as Mass Effect, Fable and Fallout illustrate that the action RPG has never held more appeal for gamers and www.raidingparty.net will offer unparalleled insights into all games within the genre. Veteran games journalist and RPG fanatic Jamie Knight will maintain www.raidingparty.net alongside Nick Ellis, editor-in-chief of www.thegamestribe.com. The Games Tribe's Rich Keith said: "This is just the first step for us. These two sites will be joined over the next few weeks by more launches, each one dedicated to a particular gaming niche. As well as offering great original content these sites will act as gateways for both gamers and our commercial partners to reach and target the hundreds of passionate, dedicated fan sites that are out there."
Nick Ellis added: "Securing the services of these two writers is a real coup for The Games Tribe. Kim has long been the go-to writer for coverage of Japanese RPGs, while Jamie’s enthusiasm for action RPGs is second to none. I look forward to working with them both."
