Well it seems Bungie, the video game developer behind the Halo series, among others, which spun off from Microsoft in 2007, and Activision, the mega-sized game publisher, have struck an “exclusive 10-year partnership to bring Bungie’s next big action game universe to market.”

Could this be a counter to Respawn Entertainment, Former Infinity Ward, signing on with Electronic Arts, or is Bungie’s next big game only something the wallet size of Activision can afford? What are your thoughts?

I think its been a poor choice by Bungie in the publisher department. I agree that they need to spread out a bit but I would have gone to a different publisher, one that won't be as controlling as Activision. Ultimately they could end up like IW, half way to closing from a breach of contract fiasco.
