Ooooh...we'll never get back to the days Official Playstation 2 magazine was doing in excess of 180,000, will we? Not in these internet days. Hmm. Bauer is managing an impressive 189,619 with its EMPIRE film Magazine. Whilst technology mag Computer Active manages 177,330, whilst also boasting the highest female readership of any UK technology mag (albeit still at a male biased 21%).

I mentioned EMPIRE though....did you know ye olde Editor of Your Sinclair, who also launched SuperPlay, PC Gamer, Official PS2 Magazine, SFX, and a few other fab mags, is publishing a new film magazine? Blackfish Publishing is a company ran by Matt Bielby. Bit of a legend him. The new mag's called FilmStar, and issue 2 is out now.

In fact, famed French cinema magazine Fantastique has just launched an English language version of its classic franchise, and made it available in the UK.

This all makes the film mag market seem quite exciting at the moment. All this, despite the internet.
